Faulty Key Fob Repair

Keys can be damaged by a drop, by water or by a hit. Many people think a broken or wet key will never work again, but these faults can often be fixed with expert help.

Common key fob problems

• The fob’s reader board has failed,
• The battery is dead or runs out quickly,
• The shell is broken or worn,
• The board does not work after the key fell in water,
• The buttons are torn or do not press.

What do we do?

Depending on the cause of the fault, we repair or replace the fob’s board, and change the battery and the shell. A key that fell in water may not start the car; in that case the best thing is to show the key to an expert without forcing it.
