Ignition Repair

You put the key in the ignition but it does not turn, gets stuck halfway, or the car does not react at all. The problem is not always the key; the ignition lock itself can also wear out and fail over time.

How do you know it is an ignition fault?

• The key goes into the ignition but does not turn,
• The key catches or feels stiff as you turn it,
• The key is stuck in the ignition and will not come out,
• The ignition switches on but the car does not start.

What not to do

Do not force a key that will not turn. Forcing it can break the key inside the ignition, and then the job becomes both an ignition repair and a key repair.

What do we do?

You do not need to tow your car. We come to where you are and check whether the problem is in the ignition or in the key; we repair the ignition or, if needed, replace it. If the problem is the key, we make a spare key.
